I too spent some time trying to make the newest version work today - on a Galaxy Note 3 and a Galaxy S4.

It appears that some custom ROMs cause the app to crash soon after launch - probably because of the theming/mods to systemUI.

Also, it might be the case that, if one has a backup copy of the Sygic folder ANYWHERE on the device, the app gets confused and fails to run properly on first start. That includes even renamed folders - i.e Sygic.backup, xxxxSygic, etc.

My advice would be - to make this work, find and install a ROM that is based on the stock theme ;-) and follow installation instructions properly.

Note: I'm using a Galaxy S3 and maps were installed to internal memory. Thanks jmermal, your releases are always great. I can't wait for Sygic to update the Australian maps again!

EDIT: Seems it's actually still crashing. Reverted back to 13.1.2 which works fine.

I also have a SGS3 (Android 4.12 Samsung stock rom) and 13.2.1 is working fine.

I initially tried the one on the first post - but at that time it had not been cracked. So I went back to 13.1.2.

I then tried the one in post 8 and it worked fine. I haven't tried the updated on the first post because I already have a working version.

All I did was the rename the sygic folder to sygic-old.
  • Uninstall the Sygic app.
  • Download the sygic app and the base files.
  • Copy the downloaded sygic folder into the sdcard0 folder of my phone.
  • Move the Maps' subfolders in the the sygic-old folder to sygic folder
  • Copy onto my phone and then run the sygic app.
  • Finally, shut the sygic app down, move the files in the db folder (sygic-old\Res) to sygic\res\db and then delete the sygic-old folder.

Thanks for your reply, fred_up. I followed your exact steps, as I do every time when I update. I've been using Sygic for quite a while and I don't usually have problems. I'm running the 4.1.2 stock rom (rooted) but I've reverted back to 13.1.2 which works. I appreciate your message, but I may wait for an update and see how that runs.
