On my Samsung Galaxy S2 with Android 4.0.4 the voice is very very slow - one word, pause of 1,2 secs and then another. Almost can't be used like this. Do you know why or how can I change it?

I was using it on galaxy s2 with custom rom....everything was smooth and perfect...no stuttering or laggy voice

Take a look at the file SDcard\igo\content\voice\voice_eng-uk-f1.zip (or whatever file you have that is TTS for your language). In there is a file info.ini. Exctract it from the archive, open it and edit or add the line tts_rate="100"
Now put the edited file back in the archive and test it.
The 100 appears to be a % speed for the TTS voice. I had this problem and it drove me nuts till I figured this out.

this ver. works flawless on my sgs2 with 2.3, but now i have official 4.0 ics, non rooted and i can't get it working!
on start it says missing or incoplete folder: android_amigo_engine_multilang.lyc:/data/data/com.navngo.igo.javaclient/licence/Android_amigo_engine_multilang.lyc: open failed: ENOENT (no such file or directory)

Works like a charm on SGS2 (800x480) just by following the procedure and copy maps/pois.
TTS also works fine after checking "Always use my settings" in Text-to-speech settings. (It uses android TTS voice).

One question: I replaced the data.gro in IGO directory with the one from "Tiger Skin for iGO My Way 8.4.3.179971". It works but I can't seems to see any difference. Also the file size is almost the same as stock one. What should I expect to see?

Another question: Can you alter the pronounciation of rd, st, cir, sb, nb, ... ? I remember you can edit some lex file in the old days. Is is still done that way? What file do I alter? Thanks

It works on Xperia X10i ok so have you tried it?

Try deleting the phoneme file from you sdcard\igo\content\phoneme folder. Its supposed to help but it actually screws things up.

iGO android version is poor, just use!

What about Samsung Galaxy S3 version?

iGO Myway 8.4.3.179971 can display max 480 000 pixels (800x600 for example). Therefore it can teoretically run on any android device, but not in full-screen for high-end devices. This limit is hardcoded into iGO native library (maybe technology limit).
But probably there now exist iGO Primo for android and maybe also for higher resolutions...
