Hey all not to sure where to post it so ill post it here

so basically heres my question GFs birthday, got her a LG Ally in her families plan everyone has a basic phone meaning no data plan basically when activating the phone it will require a data plan if im correct....and she is willing to pay for the additional data plan charge


my question is would she have to terminate her current contract and make a new one in order to do this resulting in a HEFTY fee or could she easily call them say "hello id like to add a data plan 2 gigs charge me 30 dollars more to my bill every month" meaning everything would go smoothly from there?

if she has the ability to add a plan to the account, then she can just do that over the phone. If she isnt listed as an authorized person, then someone else will need to add it to the account for her. She can do this at the verizon store, too.

Is anybody using Verizon lately?
