App: GO Cleaner & Task Manager v2.91
Developer: GO Launcher Dev Team
Category: System Tools, Task Manager
Price: N/A
IAP: $1.00 - $4.99

GO Cleaner & Task Manager is a powerful task manager app made by the developers of GO Launcher EX. The app does pretty much what all other task managers do - allow you to close apps/games running in the background to save system memory. But of course, this is not all this app can do! GO Launcher EX's team decided to add some additional features to make their product the preferred choice over not only other task managers, but system tools in general. You can lock apps/games in it's list so when you're freeing RAM, those apps/games get skipped, which is especially useful for widgets, clocks, antivirus or IM apps. Rooted users can also take advantage of a "Advanced Kill" which is a better way to close apps than the standard method.

Other tools they included are:
  • Cache cleaner - scans and cleans all the internet cache files (from browsers, ads, game data etc.).
  • System trash cleaner - cleans the temporary data such as error logs, image thumbs etc. to save up space.
  • APK scan - checks all your storage for APK files and shows you their names and versions, so if you have multiple backups, you can delete duplicates or old versions you no longer need.
  • Boot app manager - allows you to drop games/apps from starting with your device, that way reducing the time needed to boot and fully load everything.
  • App to SD manager - allows you to easily move apps to your SD card to save space.
  • GO Backup Pro and GO App Uninstaller integration - allows you to easily access those apps and their services without going out of GO Cleaner & Task Manager.
  • High-risk scanner - scans and shows you which apps have access to your accounts or other sensitive information on your device.
  • Net Stat / Net Access - shows you a graph of your internet usave trough both 3G and WiFi, and allows you to completely block apps from using 3G, WiFi or both types of internet connection.
  • Device Info - shows you the hardware details of your device.

The app also comes with widgets and free themes for the noes that like customization on their devices, along with the option to have it show all the time in the notification menu (just like a music player). GO Cleaner & Task Manager is released as a free app with the standard features. The people wanting the full version however, have the option to either pay for it, or just get it for free using GetJar! However, if you choose the GetJar version, you'll need to have the GetJar app installed at all times for the license to be valid, though the GetJar app doesn't use any system resources other than 500kb space, so most people won't mind the trade for saving some cash. In my honest opinion, this is one of the must-have apps on the market, not only because of all the features that come with it, but because it's free and saves you the trouble of having multiple apps running to do what this single one already does with no trouble.

Pros:
  • Very simple to use interface.
  • Integration with other GO Launcher EX products.
  • Many additional tools for system maintenance built-in.

Cons:
  • Full version requires installing GetJar app (free) or paying for a license.

Android manages tasks already NATIVELY

Fighting granted app permissions with task ending macro is BATTERY WASTING FOLLY

Reduce battery and data theft:

+ Lucky Patcher (ultimate adblock/adbreak)

+ block ALL third party interweb ads
+ do NOT install adware without first a plan to hack ads
+ hosts blocking is not as good as preventing ad requests

CONTROL app permission ABUSE

+ XPrivacy

Out dishonest developers

+ "ad supported" is the OPPOSITE of free
+ cal them out in public where they cannot delete your review (dedicate a blog to each LIAR)

Lucky Patcher

Ads waste battery, steal from your data bucket, and leave you feeling like the victim of a pedophile. Privacy is not spendable. Don't get into that dark panel van for "free" candy promises. Similarly do NOT tolerate third party internet ads
