Welcome to a different side of Ireland, where leprechauns head Criminal Investigative Divisions, suave vampires run pubs where Fae and Outsiders freely mix, and witches with green thumbs have to take over when absent-minded wizards are away looking into were-rabbit issues.
Aiden Moss and Torloch Doyle are dumped into the deep end of their next case by an anonymous phone call, leading them to a kidnapping and suspected drug ring. With only one clue, the detectives head for the best place to start an investigation - the nearest sandwich shop.
With some luck, the help of their friends, and a few emergency snack runs, can the detectives solve the case before things take a darker turn?
2. A Dragon, a Gargoyle, and a Faery Follow A Garden Path - What's blue and grey and probably breaking some rule or three? Detectives Aiden Moss and Torloch Doyle.
The boys are used to dealing with weirdness, but this takes the cake. So does Torloch, but that's another story. Christmas in June, spiders congregating in Phoenix Park and rainy day professors become the least of the boys' problems when they find out their mystery culprit may not even know they're creating havoc and mayhem across Dublin.
When things go arseways right quick, Aiden and Loch have to solve the puzzle before the madness spreads any further. Of course, it would help if they knew what they were looking for, but with a little help from several lovely witches, and maybe some good old-fashioned Irish luck, they'll have it wrapped up in time for dinner.
3. A Dragon, a Gargoyle, and a Faery Steal the Show - "No more work!" was the motto of the holiday, until a case finds Detectives Aiden Moss and Torloch Doyle, and names them prime suspects.
Dragons and gargoyles have been cold-shoulder enemies for centuries, and Torloch Doyle has just the solution to break the age-old ice - invite Aiden to the new gargoyle Queen's coronation, and show them just how much fun his fire-breathing friend really is!
With such a brilliant idea, what could possibly go wrong? Answer: a lot.
When Aiden is accused of an unthinkable crime, Loch and company have to prove his innocence, before descaling becomes less "so last century" and more "what will happen to Aiden Moss if his friends fail".
4. A Dragon, a Gargoyle, and a Faery Turn Over Every Stone - Blood is red, magic is white, strap yourselves in for wild ride!
Aiden Moss and Torloch Doyle find their case is on the rocks, and the rocks aren't cooperating. Digging for answers only leads to more questions, and the boys follow them across land and sea, and from ice cream parlor to pub. With the deadline (no pun intended) approaching, the boys have to untangle what they think and what they know, what they need and what they don't, or risk making a terrible mistake.
Calling in favors from all corners could be the detectives' only chance of figuring out what the Darks and their narkey-hole minions have planned. But will it be enough to solve the mystery of the spell in time to stop it, or will the Darks manage to accomplish their own disastrous goal?
