But the one thing Mars has rarely been known for producing is stellar level idols. Entire books could—and have—been written on the subject of idols, but to most ordinary folk they are people who brighten your day and make you smile merely by being.
An idol's job is to be a source of inspiration, a guiding light in times of darkness. Idols can sing, dance, act, even work as producers for other idols, performing minor—and sometimes not-so-minor—miracles behind the scenes, so their friends and rivals can be their best, too.
After auditioning for entry into planet Aida’s prestigious Dreamstar Academy for Idols, best friends Isla and Anise are now set to become idols themselves. Meeting new friends and potential rivals Lisa and Mira, they will have to deal with not only the realities of becoming an idol, but also the tricky subject of falling in love.
And who knows, maybe one or both of them could one day become a galactic starlet, one of those guiding lights. Their destinies are in their own hands now, and their ultimate fates will depend on their ability to seize whatever opportunities come their way, and capitalise on them at every turn.

New Blooms & Rising Stars (#2)
At the height of Aidan summer, Eva meets Anise for the first time, fast becoming good friends with her despite their very different personalities. With Anise's important modelling audition for Retrolution looming before her, Eva—an accomplished model herself—helps her new friend to prepare.
Meanwhile, Mira puts Isla and Millie together in order to see if they might be compatible as unit partners, and enters them into a special modelling audition for pairs. Unfortunately, it seems that Anise and Eva have also decided to go for the same audition, meaning their respective lovers are now their rivals.
With these events underway, the girls also find time to participate in their own solo auditions, meeting new friends and new rivals, and preparing to enter the next stage of their lives as idols.
Reaching for the Stars (#3)
With her new direction confirmed, Isla Ainsworth begins the process of training to become an idol who can challenge the academy's top student, Cassiopeia Luna. There is more to being an idol than merely putting in 120% effort, however, and Isla's new path puts her on a collision course with a painful lesson all successful idols must learn.
Meanwhile, Eva also pursues her new direction by entering an audition to become the representative model for a new gothic clothing brand, in hopes of advancing her own fledgling idol career. While so engaged, she also pushes forward with an intimate relationship that could lead her down yet another new avenue as an idol.
And a certain slow-paced princess finally makes her way back to Dreamstar Academy, hopeful that maybe there is still time for her to be crowned Dream Queen and, with any luck, stay on planet Aida for another year...
Walking On Clouds (#4)
As Isla begins preparations for her CD Debut, the ever-shy Eva flies 1,000 miles to Movie Town in order to take part in a seemingly cursed TV production. Meeting a new friend called Leanne, Eva learns that not every opportunity that presents itself is necessarily the correct road to walk as an idol.
Meanwhile, Ema travels to New Meadowstone with her agency friends Kirsten and Danika, to learn more about the rigid and structured idol academy known as Iruo Idol Institute, meeting two potential rivals in the process.
Additionally, it is nearly time for the big Explorer Event and the Dreamstar Academy idols are in last-minute preparation mode. In the weeks leading up to the event, Anise suggests they enter Apollotia's yearly 48 Hour Film Festival and put their acting talents to good use.
Highway to the Stars (#5)
With the Explorer Event behind them, the Dreamstar Academy idols settle back into their regular routines. Eva is pushed into applying for a new acting audition, causing her some worries due to the disastrous results of the last one she attempted.
Rose, meanwhile, starts to feel like she might be ready to return to one of her greatest joys in life, Isla finally sets out on her tour with Aphrodite, and Kelly enjoys an eventful few days with Yana on the stormy and technologically advanced world of Med Karash.
And Millie sets about working on her Secret Project.
Making Our Way (#6)
Lisa and Mira have been planning two separate events on Earth, and have invited several of their idol friends to participate. In this major two-part arc, Lisa is putting together a modern take on a classic opera for a new music video, inviting Aurika and Anise to participate.
Meanwhile, Isla has also gone along in order to check out the Royal Academy of Idols in order to determine if she wants to move there to become an instructor, in addition to her regular idol work.
And one other girl also makes the decision to go along, causing some problems for those she leaves behind in the process...
